SAIKAI Album cover

I worked on the album cover for Baby M, a Japanese singer. The album is named "Saikai", a city in Japan. The yellow flowers are called hamabo and is related to the city. There are a lot of windmills and bridges there too, which I tried to incorporate into the design. I included the earlier versions of the album cover to show how it was developed into the final design.

Version 1 of album cover. The client found it too realistic looking and wanted a more cartoonish feel.

Version 2 of album cover. Client liked the style of the artwork, but requested to have pink included to the color palette, since pink is the main color of the singer.
